Submission Guidelines

Submission Deadline:

  • Full paper submission: July 15, 2009 - Notification of full paper acceptance: August 21, 2009
  • Research in progress, symposia and workshop proposal submission: Sept. 20, 2009 - Notification of the acceptance: Oct. 3, 2009

  • Practitioner presentation submission: Nov. 3, 2009

 

Full Papers:

 

Call for Presentation, research in progress, symposia and workshop proposal submission (Deadline - Sept. 20):

 

Practice Presentation Proposals:

  • Practitioners who have no interest to write a full paper but is interested to present on a KM related topic should submit a Practice Presentation Proposal.

 

"Research in Progress" Proposals:

  • Authors can consider submitting a "research in progress" proposal. If the proposal is accepted, the author(s) can then develop it as a full paper to be included in the conference website and/or conference CD. The CD wil be the full conference proceedings that include full papers, short papers, Research in Progress proposals and others. It should carry an ISBN.

 

Symposia (each takes about 1.5 hours or longer) Proposals:

  • This is for those who like to submit several presentation proposals together under a general theme.

 

Workshop (each takes about 1.5 hours or longer) Proposals:

  • Those who are interested to run a workshop should submit a write-up of the proposed workshop to introduce the topic.

 

     Submission guideline for Practice Presentation, "Research in Progress", Symposia and Workshop proposal

  • Each of these proposals should be within 1000 to 2000 words in length.
  • These proposals should be submitted in MS word format.
  • On the front page, indicate the presentation title, name of presenter(s), affiliation and contact information including email address(es).

"Layout Guide in MS Word" and "Submission Example for an Accepted Full Paper for ICKM 2007" do not match. The text in the Guides was stated to be 10 pt roman, but the Example used 12pt Arial. We also need to clarify whether numbering is needed, alignment of the text, single or two columns for two authors...
